Song of the Day – “Freight Train Rain” – Zeitgeist/The Reivers

A long time ago, a four-piece band from Austin was known as Zeitgeist. After the release of their first album, they changed their name to the Reivers. They disbanded in the early nineties, and a small band of faithful fans mourned.

Listen to how Kim Longacre’s voice soars above John Croslin’s on this song, which epitomizes the Reivers’ sound.

I understand that they did finally put out another album, Second Story, about a year and a half ago. I see that I can get the MP3 album on Amazon, but I sure would like a hard copy.
