Song of the Day – “True Love Gone (Come on Home)” – The Enchanters

There were a lot of obscure, yet great, local doo-wop groups in the fifties. The Enchanters were discovered by Duke Ellington in Detroit, and he recorded them for his label. They never broke through.

Luckily, archivists were able to find and compile a lot of this lost music in the age of the CD. I picked it up in Doo Wop Box III: The Should-Have-Been Hits. It certainly should have.
