Song of the Day – “In-a-Gadda-da-Vida” – Iron Butterfly

What the hell is he saying? As it turns out, even his bandmates didn’t know. Singer Doug Ingle told drummer Ron Bushy that the title was “In the Garden of Eden”, but Bushy wrote it down like he heard it, and the name stuck.

The album track is over 17 minutes long, which is just a little too much metal goodness for Song of the Day. Enjoy the single version instead.
