Song of the Day – “Jungle Love” – The Time

Let’s try and figure this out. This is definitely not a cover, and Morris Day on vocals and Jesse Johnson on lead guitar did help write it. But Prince played everything else, and various sources say he either helped write it or did not. I gotta think that Prince had something to do with the composition also.

Strangely enough, the Wikipedia entry for this song says that the song can be heard in the movies Bringing Down the House and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but doesn’t really mention its prominent place in the movie Purple Rain.
