Lisa Loeb – Marshall Crenshaw

More than twenty years separate our two “trying” numbers today.

Lisa Loeb had fallen out of favor by the time she release The Way It Really Is in 2004. I’m not really sure why. I still enjoy her sunny pop.

Field Day was released in 1983 as the follow-up to Crenshaw’s phenomenal debut. It didn’t really measure up to the debut, but that would be flat-out impossible. Still, it’s full of great numbers like this one and “Whenever You’re on My Mind”.
