Song of the Day – “Pieces of April” – Three Dog Night

Three Dog Night made a lot of songs famous for other writers – “Eli’s Coming” by Laura Nyro and “Mama Told Me Not to Come” by Randy Newman, to name a couple off the top of my head.
“Pieces of April” was written by Dave Loggins, of “Please Come to Boston” fame. It’s a beautiful ballad, nicely interpreted by a band not known for their ballads.
